THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns will feature The Glasgow Science Centre’s free BodyWorks exhibit to entertain and educate families throughout the October school week.
How high can I jump? How much water is in my body? How flexible am I? What will I look like if I smoke? The BodyWorks exhibition is a fully hands-on, active learning experience, encouraging investigation into our amazing bodies and what they can do.
Centre manager, Michelle McCabe, said: “Ideal for a family audience, BodyWorks shows you just how amazing your body is; lets you put its flexibility, strength and endurance to the test and gives you a chance to find out just how hard your heart and lungs work – as well as telling you how you can stay healthy.
“Educational as well as entertaining, BodyWorks really is a great way to experiment, engage and enjoy learning about how your body works!”
The BodyWorks exhibits will be taking place in the Avenue throughout the full October school week from 12 noon till 4pm from Monday 14th to Friday 18th October 2013.
The Avenue Shopping Centre, managed by commercial property consultancy BTWShiells, offers shoppers a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
