HAMILTON Park is racing towards the end of a spectacular summer of sport and social entertainment – with three meetings in nine days set to bring its 2013 season to a close.
The late September action starts with the winning double of a family-themed fixture this Sunday followed by an action-packed race day 24 hours later, with free admission again available at both fixtures for all under-18s (under-16s must be accompanied by an adult).
First, at the Totepool Family Day on Sunday, September 22, kids – not to mention mums and dads – can enjoy the fun of the fair with furlongs of free activities.
There will be free entertainment and games for children, including face painting and hair braiding in the Parade Ring marquee plus a bouncy castle outside, not to mention seven more competitive flat races on the track.
Then the Totepool Race Day on Monday, September 23 will be all about the racing, with another seven races on the card plus lots of amazing offers available on the day from sponsors Totepool.
Vivien Kyles, chief executive of Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “It’s hard to believe we are entering the final furlong of our season at Hamilton Park but they say time flies when you’re having fun and race goers have certainly enjoyed plenty of that at the racecourse this year.
“Two of our final three fixtures have a strong family entertainment theme running through them as we continue to strive to provide real value-for-money activities and events within our race days.
“With free entry for all under-18s and accompanied under-16s, it again underlines the affordability of a day at the races for families.
“It’s been a terrific year of racing and entertainment at Hamilton Park so far with heaps of highlights.
“Everyone at the racecourse is fully focussed on creating more memorable moments during these final three fixtures to ensure we finish the season in style.”
Following the ‘double header’, Hamilton Park then hosts its season finale the September Holiday Race Day (Monday 30 September), another event the kids will love, with farmyard favourite Shaun the Sheep hosting his ‘Championsheeps’.
The afternoon meet will also see the seasonal finale with the awarding of leading owner and trainer, after another seven-race card.
Advanced online tickets are available from £12; student and concession tickets are £10 for all fixtures. Tickets are available from:
