TO celebrate Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight (7-22 September), La Bonne Auberge has devised a menu reflecting the spirit of the Auld Alliance between Scotland and France.
Multi, award-winning executive chef, Gerry Sharkey, has put together a menu packed with mouth-watering dishes, which perfectly combine classic French with the best that Scotland has to offer.
Executive chef, Sharkey, notes: “We opened in 1975 as Glasgow’s original French Mediterranean brasserie and are known for our continental dishes; however, this annual Food and Drink festival fortnight gives us the perfect opportunity to offer customers a true taste of Scotland because although our name may be French, we are extremely proud to be Scottish.”
Special menu for the festival which is priced at just £25, comprises:
Velouté of haggis neeps and tatties with chive crème fraiche
Roasted woodpigeon breast with pearly barley risotto
Prune puree and red wine dressing
Simple vanilla panna cotta with Scottish honey glazed figs
Freshly brewed coffee and tablet
La Bonne Auberge’s special menu can be enjoyed during Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight; however, pre-booking is essential, so call 0141 352 8310 now.
