WOMEN from across the country will be hoping they’re the hot favourite/top tip to be crowned this year’s Best Dressed Lady – following the announcement that the Hamilton Park Racecourse Ladies’ Night fixture next month will include a bumper £1,000 cash first prize and other plush goodies.
This year’s competition, a firm fixture at the hugely popular Ladies’ Night meeting, will be a fiercely contested battle between the boutique and High Street, featuring a spectacular overall prize haul of £3,000.
As is tradition, the high-stakes haute couture Super Six showcase on Saturday, August 3, will feature a nail-biting catwalk competition to crown the fixture’s Best Dressed Lady 2013.
Hamilton Park Racecourse chief executive, Vivien Kyles, said: “Ladies’ Night at Hamilton Park Racecourse is easily one of the biggest racing nights in the country and is, quite rightly, a date marked early in the calendars of thousands of women.
“Anyone who has attended the fixture in the past will testify to the competitive, yet friendly spirit of the famous Best Dressed Lady catwalk show and competition.
“That’s why this year we decided to up the ante considerably by increasing the Best Dressed Lady competition prize value to £3,000, with a £1,000 first prize up for grabs.
“The ladies who regularly come along to the fixture certainly don’t need any further incentive to glam it up for a night at the races. They always pull out the stops at Hamilton Park, particularly at Ladies’ Night.
“However, winning £1,000 just for looking fabulous could well ensure that Ladies’ Night 2013 goes stratospheric in terms of style and sophistication on Saturday, August 3.”
As well as a superb Super Six race card for the purists, Ladies’ Night will continue to provide the panache thanks to fashion jewellery partners, Tresor Paris.
The jewellery giant will give away 250 pairs of must-have earrings from the company’s luxury double-decker promotional bus, which will be situated next to the grandstand.
To promote the return of Tresor Paris to Ladies’ Night, customers who present a voucher (included when tickets are purchased in advance) will be entitled to a pair of the exclusive earrings on a first come, first served basis. A jewellery fashion show, featuring the latest range from Tresor Paris, will be held on the night.
Ladies’ Night at Hamilton Park will also feature a shopping marquee in the picturesque racecourse grounds, offering a range of clothing, beauty, photography and accessories for those women keen to further enhance their wardrobes in between the evening’s racing programme.
Additional highlights designed to keep the ladies entertained this year include a champagne bar, staffed by topless barmen serving cocktails and live post-racing music from Millennium – The Ultimate Robbie Williams Tribute.
Gates will open at 4.15pm with the first race at 6.15pm (last race 8.45pm). Advance tickets start at just £18 (£20 at the gate) and are available via www.hamilton-park.co.uk, or contacting the racecourse directly on 01698 283806.
Under-18s go free (under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult).
