A LEADING Scottish reprographics firm has shown its support for Aberdeen’s annual third sector awards.
North East Reprographics (NER) based at Marywell, has sponsored the personalised plaques for the finalist prizes, which will be handed out at this year’s Aberdeen Impact Awards.
The annual awards, which are organised by Aberdeen’s third sector interface, ACVO (Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations), will take place on Saturday 20 July, at the Insight Aberdeen Third Sector and Volunteering Fayre at the city’s Music Hall.
The awards aim to raise awareness of the value of the work carried out by third sector organisations, as well as promoting the efforts and good practices of volunteers and fundraisers for third sector organisations in the city.
NER, recently joined the Aberdeen Impact Affiliate scheme, which helps to link businesses with third sector organisations such as charities, social enterprises and community groups to provide opportunities for involvement learning, trading, investing, team-building and awareness raising.
NER group managing director, John Sheran, said: “As the third sector organisations in Aberdeen work so hard and tirelessly throughout the year, NER wanted to directly offer help, and joining the affiliate scheme was the perfect opportunity to connect with the organisations and offer our support and resources where possible.
“Sponsoring the finalist plagues for the Impact awards is great, as it will allow everyone to take something home on the night and they should each take pride in reaching the finalist stages.”
Funding and Business planning officer at ACVO, Alison Chandler, said: “ACVO is delighted to welcome NER to our Aberdeen Impact Affiliates scheme and we want to thank them for sponsoring the plaques and certificates for the awards.
“We are thrilled that NER has chosen to be one of the forward-thinking supporters of this programme and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
Launched in 1995, NER, which supplies Xerox machines and services including printers and copiers throughout the UK and Europe, now has 80 employees covering the whole of Scotland.
