A GROWING insurance and financial services company has strengthened its services in the North-east with the recent acquisition of a leading independent financial adviser business for a significant six-figure sum.
The Borland Group, which incorporates Borland Insurance Ltd and Borland Financial Management Ltd, was established in 1995 and acquired McHardy and Burnett Financial Services Ltd earlier this year.
Says a spokesperson: “Borland is a privately-owned independent insurance broker, employee benefits consultant and financial advisers with premises in Dunfermline and Aberdeen, and is soon to open its third office in Kirkcaldy. The firm specialises in offering a bespoke service to clients and has a team of 27 experienced staff to enable a high level of service.”

The team of 30 members of staff from McHardy and Burnett will remain with the firm and continue to trade under the existing name from the company’s offices at Bon Accord Crescent in Aberdeen.”
As a joint venture Borland Insurance and McHardy and Burnett hope to experience continuous business growth within its operating areas whilst investing in the business to expand, in turn creating employment opportunities in the North-east and Central Scotland.
