MUDDY Boots Farm in Balmalcolm, Fife, unveiled its latest expansion last night with over 100 invited guests joining the Samson family to be the very first to try out the new Muddy’s adventure play area, now situated behind the indoor soft play building.
The official opening, which was timed to take place on ‘Independents Day’, is another feather in the cap of the independent, privately owned farm shop, café and play area that started as a roadside raspberry seller in a tent just a few short years ago, and which now sees thousands of families pass through its doors every year.
Speaking at the unveiling, Treina Samson, co-owner of Muddy Boots said:
“Independents Day is a celebration of independent businesses in the UK, and we are really delighted to be marking that with the opening up Muddy Boots’ new expanded play area to meet growing demand in what is already a very popular part of our business.
“The new play area is over three times the size and will give many more children the opportunity to play in the outdoors, breathe in some of that incredible fresh Fife air and, most importantly, get a little bit muddy!”
In a nod to the ‘other’ Independence Day celebrations taking place at the other side of the Atlantic, guests enjoyed a Scottish-themed barbecue, served with the finest Puddledub burgers but it wasn’t long before everyone was jumping for joy on the giant jumping pillow, one of two at the site, with the younger visitors giving the new play area a big thumbs up.
Muddy Boots is open every day to visitors from 9am.
