THE ALICE by Temperley Pre Fall 2013 collection draws inspiration from the Japanese folk tale ‘the Heron Maiden’ – a tale about concealment and revelation. Combining traditional Japanese themes with ALICE by Temperley signatures, the collection is vibrant and easy-to-wear with a focus on colour and fabric.

Temperley London’s sister line offers the spirit of Temperley for the everyday, using early Temperley shapes and creating easy feminine pieces with an independent character. The Temperley heritage is seen in the graphic Mikado Knit inspired by Temperley’s signature intarsia knits with an ALICE twist. The print of the season, the Heron Print, of a heron in flight, is hand drawn and painted in-house while the flirty Gingseng Print, digitally printed on cotton sateen.

Vibrant statement prints sit alongside feminine embellished styles such as the Cherry Blossom dresses with laser cut flowers embroidered onto a spot tulle. Other key styles in the ALICE by Temperley Pre Fall collection includes; the Ling Dress, a gold, heavily sequinned tulle gown with graduating stripes, The Obi Cape; an ALICE take on a classic bomber with Kimono references; and the transparent Hana Skirt in crepe-de-chine with an on-trend short lining. Signature ALICE leather incorporates a quilt design and comes in burgundy and black.

The colour palette consists of subtle stone, cream, blush, midnight, teal and navy tones with pops of Bordeaux, chilli, red and yellow.

The resultant collection, including key ALICE by Temperley signatures; monochrome, lace, leather and print, is highly wearable and a taste of what’s to come for Autumn Winter.

The collection is now available for purchase online and in store.
