SCOTTISH family butcher, Simon Howie, this week launched his famous Goodie Bag and Great Scottish Breakfast Pack online at www.thescottishbutcher.com.
And within hours of becoming available, a customer placed an order for no less than 16 Great Scottish Breakfast packs to take over to Thailand with her when she visits her brother next week!
Previously only available over the counter at Simon Howie’s award-winning butcher shops in Auchterarder and Perth, the listing of the popular selection boxes online means that anyone in the UK (and around the world if they have a visiting relative) can now get the taste of Scottish meat between their teeth delivered direct to their door.
Simon Howie said: “Following the launch of our Goodie Bags in our shops earlier this year, demand has been such that we’re now making them available to order online throughout the UK.
“We’ve also noticed a huge demand for our breakfast packs from Scots living in England who have been deprived of their regular Lorne sausage fix. We’re delighted to be able to announce that we can now serve them up a taste of home with a traditional Scottish Breakfast – wherever they might be in the UK!”
The contents of the £12 Goodie Bag (normal value £17.39) changes weekly, with this week’s launch version comprising: four 4oz Lea & Perrins steak burgers; two teriyaki chicken fillets; four sage and shallot pork rollovers and two lamb kofta hot pots.
The Great Scottish Breakfast Pack, meanwhile, consists of one pack pork sausage, one pack of Lorne sausage, one pack of black pudding, one pack of bacon and six tattie scones, all for £6.99.
Online orders of the goodie bags and Scottish Breakfast Packs are now packed securely in custom-designed chilled boxes and dispatched to homes throughout the length and breadth of the UK.
