WEDNESDAY 22 May saw Aberdeen PA organise yet another successful event for its PA members, held at the TM Lewin store in Union Square, Aberdeen.
The invitation-only event was attended by over 30 PA members who enjoyed seeing the newly launched ‘High Summer’ range of womenswear, by TM Lewin, as well as making new contacts with fellow PAs from across the city and shire.
Alongside high fashion and networking opportunities, the official launch of The Ultimate PA Makeover took place, a competition organised jointly by Aberdeen PA and TM Lewin.
The competition is open to all Aberdeen PA members, with the lucky winner winning a TM Lewin suit and spa day as well as a weekend break in Scotland complete with first class rail travel.
This latest event is one of many complimentary activities organised by Aberdeen PA each year specifically for its growing number of PA members.
There is of course a serious side to the work the company does; enabling connections. Connections between its business members and its large audience of PA’s enables those businesses to promote their product or service to the people that really count – as well as giving the PA’s the opportunity to explore new providers.
One such PA is Susie Scott, secretary to CFO and Finance Team at Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Ltd.
Susie has been a PA at executive level for over eleven years and says a big part of her role is organising all kinds of events and dinners.
She said: “I only moved back to Aberdeen last January after living in Edinburgh for many years and Aberdeen PA has proved to be invaluable in helping me find out what’s available.
“Senior managers rely on the PA to come up with suggestions and recommendations on venues for a wide variety of events which makes it very important and worthwhile for businesses to support Aberdeen PA.”
Maria Robertson, executive secretary and librarian for the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen thoroughly agrees, saying: “The biannual Aberdeen PA showcase enables you to talk to a huge number of useful suppliers, venues and caterers, all in one evening – whilst being treated to various tasters and tempting gifts.”
