PROMOTIONAL merchandise specialist, Orb Group, is going through an exciting time of change and growth and has recruited Rod Mountford to head up its Australian company.
Rod, who will take on the role of Division Director, is no stranger to promotional merchandise with a 17-year career in the industry. His previous experience includes being managing director of an Australian promotional merchandise agency, where he developed a wealth of expertise including efficient supply chain procurement and working with charities.
Rod will spend his time developing Orb Group’s market share in Australia and will manage Far East sourcing; continuing to ensure Orb Group provides ethically sourced promotional merchandise.
Rod said: “Setting up the Orb Group Australian Division will be an exciting challenge that I look forward to implementing.
“I am confident that with the expertise and knowledge I have relating to both the promotional merchandise industry and the Australian market Orb Group will be set to make a big impression.”
Mike Smith, CEO and founder of Orb Group, also commented: “Over the past few years Orb Group’s team of brand building experts has had an every growing presence in the United Kingdom. However, we have also gained a lot of experience working in overseas markets. The next natural move was to develop our overseas market share.

“In the short time we have been focusing efforts in Australia we have already won two significant accounts.”
The board of Orb Group believe that the future is looking positive and that the promotional product firm will continue to grow from strength to strength, developing current overseas markets and penetrating new territories in the future.
