A NORTH-east accountancy firm has strengthened its management team with the appointment of three new partners.
SBP Accountants and Business Advisors, which has offices in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Banff and Fraserburgh, has promoted Alan Masson, Roger Berl and Ronnie Birnie to partner level.
The trio join managing partner John Hannah, and partners Peter Bruce and Sandra Gault, doubling the number of partners at the firm.
Mr Masson, who is head of tax at SBP, has more than 35 years of taxation experience, and started with the company in 2008.
He co-ordinates the tax department as well as dealing with large corporations and personal tax clients.
Mr Berl trained at the National Audit Office in London, and has worked with SBP since 2000. He has more than 17 years of experience in taxation and specialises in personal and corporation tax.
He is also responsible for all Companies House procedures and establishing and monitoring administrative arrangements.
Mr Birnie, who joined SBP in 2008, has more than 15 years of accountancy experience and specialises in accountancy for a wide range of clients, including the fishing industry and a number of charities.
He also specialises in audit work.
