THOSE who attend the Riding for the Disabled Glasgow group are set for a great year, thanks to big-hearted staff at construction company, ISG.

Staff from the Glasgow-based business spent a day replacing sections of the timber ‘kick board’ area within the stable’s indoor arena, using materials which were also supplied by the firm.

ISG’s business development coordinator, Lynsey Brydson, who is a volunteer at the riding centre, commented: “We are extremely pleased to be in a position to assist the riding centre in such a practical way, and in doing so, further improve the facilities which are so valued and enjoyed by a great many people in the area.”

Lynne Shovlin, from Riding for the Disabled Glasgow, added: “As a charity, we rely upon donations to allow us to continue the work we carry out. We are always looking for support and volunteers to assist us, and the replacement of the kick boards is a huge help.”

The purpose-built premises on Caldercuilt Road in Summerston provide a highly-valued riding facility in the Glasgow area for over 200 riders each week, including children with special needs from local schools during the day and for adults with special needs in the evening.
