SOUTHSIDERS will get a chance to meet Glasgow-born actor, singer, dancer, musical theatre performer, writer and television personality, John Barrowman, in the flesh on Tuesday 26th February when, together with his sister, Carole Barrowman, he will be popping into Waterstones at The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns to sign copies of their new book, Bone Quill.
Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue, said: “I’m delighted to welcome John and Carole to The Avenue and know that southsiders will turn out in droves for a chance to meet the ever-popular entertainer!”
Bone Quill is the sequel to John and Carole E Barrowman’s first fantasy novel for young people, Hollow Earth, and sees the thrilling adventures of twins Matt and Emily Calder continue apace.
John Barrowman said: “Lots of twins have a special connection – being able to finish each other’s sentences; sensing what the other is thinking; perhaps even knowing when the other is in trouble or in pain – but for 12-year-old twins, Matt and Emily, the connection is beyond special.
“Together, the twins have extraordinary powers – they can bring art to life, or enter paintings at will.”
John and Carole Barrowman will be at Waterstones at 3.45pm on Tuesday 26th February.
