LEADING hair and beauty supplies chain, Salon Services, has donated salon equipment to a new Yorkshire salon which will be offering complementary treatments to patients of St. Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds.
Salon Services, the UK’s largest distributor of professional hair and beauty products, has donated hairdressing equipment worth £1,900 to a new salon, which will provide beauty treatments for patients at the local hospice, St Gemma’s Hospice.
The salon, called Escobars, will open next month in Moortown, Leeds and is the new venture from Leeds resident and professional beautician, Natasha Connolly.
Kirstie Hacker, category manager for salon furniture and equipment at Sally Express, explains: “We’re delighted to support this very worthwhile initiative.
“Natasha’s determination to give every single person in her local community the chance to feel beautiful was something we truly admired. We hope the equipment will get this salon off to a flying start and make a real difference to the local community.”
Escobars is set to open on the 1st of February, and Natasha will be offering all the patients at St. Gemma’s Hospice complementary hair treatments and beauty treatments on dedicated days once every month.
These treatments are due to either take place at the hospice if need be, or in the salon. As well as offering hair and beauty treatments to the hospice’s patients, Escobars will also be offering members of the public the chance to receive training and/or work experience within the salon.
The equipment donated by Sally Express has already been delivered and Natasha is very grateful for the chance to give something back to the local community.
Connolly explains: “I’ve always wanted to give something back to the community, and I hope Escobars will help me do just that. Pampering can give those with serious conditions, as well as their families, a much-needed sense of normality during hard times.
“I’m really grateful for the free equipment and support – none of this would have been possible without Sally’s very generous donation.”
