LEADING independent accountancy firm, French Duncan, is running an open door free debt workshop at its Kirkintilloch office.
Brian Milne at French Duncan said: “In these recessionary times, it’s not just those on a lower income bracket that are falling into financial difficulty.
“In fact, recent years have seen a marked rise in the number of professionals, consultants and other higher earners falling into personal insolvency.
“The cause is often due to the sudden loss of a regular monthly income stream in the event of redundancy or, increasingly, through a gradual build up of debt caused by the rising cost of living in recent years.
“Faced with demands for payment from creditors, the first step for any individual should be to seek advice from a qualified professional.
“We are offering a free open evening where anyone can discuss their issues in an impartial and confidential environment.
“Often, the solutions are relatively straightforward and can be arranged quickly. In my experience, the sooner help is sought the better.”
Anyone concerned with their levels of debt are invited to drop into the firm’s office at 74 Townhead, Kirkintilloch on Monday 11th Feb between 4-8pm to discuss their issues.
