THIS month sees the return of the unbeatable Dine Out Deals to the award-winning Red Leaf restaurant at Alea Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest gaming venue on the Clyde at Springfield Quay.
Red Leaf offers diners two courses and a glass of wine for just £10 per person from Sundays to Thursdays and three courses and a glass of wine for £20 on Fridays and Saturdays.
With a kitchen brigade run by Scots-born chef Jamie Walker, formerly of the Dorchester Hotel and Mosimann’s in London, Red Leaf features stunning views of such famous Glasgow landmarks as the Armadillo and the Squinty Bridge.
The best of Scotland’s seasonal larder is always on the menu in Red Leaf where Walker creates innovative dishes from the freshest local produce. Typical starters include: crisp fried haggis bon bons; asparagus and goats cheese tart; confit duck and chicken liver pate and butternut squash and mascarpone ravioli.
Mains include: smoked haddock and chive risotto; soy and ginger marinated pork loin; sage and baby onion roasted chicken supreme; baby spinach and wild mushroom linguine and aubergine and red pepper cannelloni.
Desserts meanwhile include such mouth-watering delicacies as: sticky toffee pudding; rhubarb crème brulee; iced strawberry and vanilla parfait; caramelised lemon tart and a selection of dairy ice creams.
