ABERDEENSHIRE-based oil service firm, ThinJack, has announced the appointment of Robert Turnbull to the growing team.
Robert brings to the company six years of experience gained from mechanical and electrical settings in the oil and gas sector.
Educated at Forres in Moray, Robert has joined the ThinJack team in the role of mechanical technician.
ThinJack specialises in the rigless separation of seized or stuck well flanges.
The service uses patented millimetric-thin steel envelopes which are inflated with up to 2,500 bar of hydraulic pressure to exert hundreds of tonnes of force.
ThinJack deploys specialist equipment and highly trained technicians anywhere in the world at short notice to separate wellhead flanges which are seized and causing costly delays during well workovers.
The unique ThinJack service is a safe and fast solution for separating and jacking in hazardous, difficult or restricted areas.
