RESIDENTS of what is considered to be Aberdeen’s only independently-owned private nursing home have been enjoying a busy events calendar for the festive season.
A regular timetable of activities is the norm for the residents of Hawkhill House in Milltimber but Christmas sees the schedule step up a gear to include activities and entertainment such as a pantomime by the Catspyjamas production company, musical entertainment from The Showtime entertainers, a Christingle service conducted by the congregation of St. Devenicks, Bieldside, musical visits from local school children and community Carol Singing.
Commenting on the busy programme of events, Hawkhill House nursing home matron, Isobel McIntosh, said: “The residents are encouraged to attend activities which appeal to them, and the staff and Friends of Hawkhill all work hard to ensure that a happy time is had by all.
“Here at Hawkhill we are fortunate to have the services of an occupational therapist who provides a selection of activities which takes into account the varying needs of our residents. She is well supported by our enthusiastic care staff in ensuring that residents lead a happy and fulfilled life.”
