LEADING casing accessory and completion tool company, Downhole Products, is reporting ongoing growth in its Middle East operations.
The company moved to new, larger premises in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Freezone earlier this year and now employs six people there, plus two people in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The most recent addition is Aberdeen-born Michael Fraser who has joined the team in the role of operations manager and will focus on Baku and the Caspian region – an area of particular growth for the company.
Downhole Products’ managing director, Ian Kirk, said: “A number of significant contracts which were historically dealt with through the Aberdeen office are now being looked after by our Middle East team.
“This means that our people are closer to our clients, enabling us to further improve our services.
“Whilst Saudi Arabia is still our largest income stream in that part of the world, we are now working with major operators in Azerbaijan and an increasing number of clients in Iraq so our outlook in the region continues to be very positive.”
