ROSS-SHIRE Youth Hockey Team has received a cash boost, thanks to Aberdeenshire-based Deveron Homes.
The property company – which has just submitted plans for a new housing development in Dingwall – has made the £500 donation to club funds to help players meet kit costs.
Commenting on the donation, Deveron Homes’ managing director, Gordon Ramsay, said: “Wherever we create new developments we always start by making links with the local community.
“Our Schools Liaison Programme is already well established and, through our sports sponsorship scheme, we have also made significant donations to youth projects such as the Kevin Keegan Football Academy and a number of local, under-18 football teams.”
Ross-Shire Youth Hockey coach, Lynn Holmes, added: “Deveron Homes has been very generous towards our team. Without donations like this, things would be much more difficult for the coaches, players, and parents of the hockey team.”
