PRODUCERS and others who are interested in hearing how the latest technology and scientific research can improve their efficiency and profitability, are being encouraged to register now for Quality Meat Scotland’s research and development conference.
The ‘Profitability from Performance’ conference is free to attend and takes place on 16 January 2013 at The Apex City Quay Hotel, Dundee.
The one-day event will review ways in which efficiency and profitability can be improved at every stage of the red meat production chain, and will show case some research work supported by QMS.
Expert guest speakers from across the UK and Ireland will cover a range of topics relevant to those working in different sectors of the industry – from disease control and animal health to the latest efficiency boosting technologies.
“The 2013 conference programme includes highly-regarded speakers from Scotland’s leading scientific organisations.
Last year’s event was over-subscribed and we would encourage anyone interested in attending to register early to avoid disappointment,” said Andy McGowan, QMS head of industry development.
“Ensuring producers are kept abreast of the latest scientific developments and technology helps ensure they are at the front line of opportunities to improve their efficiency and profitability, particularly at a time of rising input costs.”
The QMS Research and Development Conference is free to attend (lunch included) but spaces are limited.
