SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors is offering a former petrol filling station with associated forecourt shop building and hand car wash facility in Airdrie to let.
The former Airdrie Autopoint is situated at a prime town centre location on the south side of Alexander Street at its junction with Bell Street and Stirling Street.
Alexander Street forms one of the main arterial routes leading to and from Airdrie town centre and, as such, the site benefits from excellent visibility to passing traffic.
There are a large number of commercial users within the vicinity, including Airdrie Savings Bank, Asda, amongst a large number of national and local retailers and office users.
The site is suitable for a variety of uses, subject to planning.
Jamie Savage, head of Shepherd’s commercial office in Lanarkshire, said: “Our clients may consider options to lease the site for similar type use or may alternatively consider potential design and build proposals.
“The site is currently vacant, though the former buildings and petrol tanks remain in situ.
“We anticipate that, given its prominent location close to the town centre, the site could be used for a similar use or may be suitable for redevelopment for a variety of alternative uses, including residential, retail, restaurant or leisure uses amongst others, subject to planning.”
Airdrie enjoys good communication links being close to the M8 and M73 motorways which form part of the main Central Scotland motorway network and the A73 which links the M74 motorway at Abington to the A80 at Cumbernauld.
Rental offers are invited for the potential mixed use site with design and build schemes considered. Interested parties should contact Jamie Savage at Shepherd on 01698 252229.
