ONE of the biggest names in jewellery and giftware is coming to Paisley.
The popular ‘Michael Warren’ chain has chosen The Piazza as the location for its latest store, following the success of existing shops in Clydebank and Falkirk.
One full-time and three part-time jobs are being created and manager Tom Moore, who has 39 years experience in the jewellery and giftware trade, said: “We’ve looked around Paisley and feel it really needs a good jewellery and gift shop selling branded products at reasonable prices.”
The Paisley store is expected to open on Saturday 27th October.
Tom added: “Right now we are working like mad to get everything in place. This store actually used to be the jewellers in the Piazza but it’s been empty for the last six months so there’s a lot to do to get things ready.
“But I’m confident we’ll make it and customers will be blown away by the range we have to offer.”
That range includes giftware products such as the hugely popular Charlie Bears, Willow Tree, the full range of Snowbabies, Betty Boop and Disney characters.
A dazzling display of watches includes ICE, DKNY, Accurist, Radley, Seksy, Sekonda and Party Time and the Michael Warren store will also stock Shamballa style bracelets, watches and earrings.
Tom said: “We’ll be extremely well stocked and also have Hot Diamonds and Ortak jewellery, the ‘D’ For Diamond kids range and our own unbranded silver and gold jewellery.
“All our selections are chosen for their style and because of who we are, we can get them at good prices. We’re thrilled that the people of Paisley will be able to benefit from this in time for Christmas and they don’t have to go anywhere else.
“They can walk into the Piazza, get advice from our helpful staff and leave with the product there and then.”
Despite the recession, jewellery and giftware continues to prove extremely popular with some customers becoming extremely passionate and collecting entire ranges.
One customer in Falkirk recently ordered more than £2,000 worth of Charlie Bears and a regular at the Clydebank store revealed all her bears had their own dedicated space on her bed during the day.
One night she got home late and didn’t have the heart to move them all off her bed, so slept on the floor herself.
The new Michael Warren jewellery and giftware store in the Piazza shopping centre in Paisley promises something for every budget with Disney characters available from £9.95, Charlie Bears from £30 up to £600 and designer jewellery, gold and diamonds including stunning products from Coeur De Lion, Dansk and VIP.
