AN Aberdeen-based media communications firm has further strengthened its PR team with two key appointments in recent weeks.
Dionne Abolghassem and Jillian Sheran have both joined media communications firm, Frasermedia, as the company continues to experience rapid growth in the public relations sector.
Miss Abolghassem, 25, joins the firm as a PR account executive, having previously worked for STV online as community news editor, where she managed some of the television firm’s local websites.
A journalism graduate from Edinburgh Napier University, she has also worked as a reporter with weekly titles the Buchan Observer and Fraserburgh Herald.
She said: “I’m excited about joining Frasermedia and look forward to getting to know the wide range of clients, as well as building on the experience I have gained as a journalist.”
Miss Sheran, who has joined the team as junior PR account executive, graduated with a BA honours degree in business management with marketing from Robert Gordon University.
Before landing her role at Frasermedia, the 23 year-old worked as a communications assistant with NHS Grampian.
She said: “I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work in a growing business. I’ve always wanted to work in PR so I’m excited about a future with Frasermedia and continuing to learn from the skilled and experienced team.”
Managing director of Frasermedia, Pauline Cook, launched the business following a successful career as a newspaper, radio and television journalist.
She said: “We have almost tripled our PR clients in recent months so we had to add to our team to ensure we could continue to deliver our tailored and customer focussed service.
“These recent appointments will strengthen our position to continue increasing our client base across Scotland.
“I have no doubt that Dionne and Jillian’s skills and expertise will further enhance Frasermedia’s talented team.”
Leigh-Ann Rogie, who has been with the firm for two years has been promoted to senior PR account executive.
Frasermedia, which was launched in 2007, delivers a number of media-based services in addition to PR, including emergency media response and presentation skills training, and DVD filming and production.
