THE popular Italian Bistro in Glasgow’s West End has launched its festive lunch, dinner and Christmas Day menus with a free £20 gift voucher for party organisers booking a festive bash for eight or more people.
Its three-course festive lunch menu, with coffee for £16.95, offers starters of: minestrone soup; gateau of Scottish smoked salmon and prawns; pumpkin and parmesan soup; parfait of chicken liver and plum tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad.
Main dish options are: roast borders turkey; escalope of seared organic salmon fillet with pesto crust; pave of prime Scottish beef, wild mushroom, leek and asparagus lasagne; penne piccanti and Tuscan vegetable. Dessert options are: artisan Italian cheeses; traditional Christmas pudding; raspberry crème brulee and warm chocolate tart
The three course festive dinner menu, with coffee for £24.95, offers starters of: cream of wild mushroom soup; twice baked smoked salmon soufflé; minestrone soup; parfait of chicken liver and Stornoway black pudding.
Main dish options are: roast borders turkey; sirloin of prime Scottish beef; pan seared organic salmon fillet; wild mushroom, leek and asparagus lasagne and grilled fillet of sea bass. Dessert options are: artisan Italian cheeses; traditional Christmas pudding; raspberry crème brulee and hot chocolate fondant.
The Italian Bistro’s three course Christmas Day menu, with tea or coffee for £45 (£22.50 for children under 7), offers starters of: cream of butternut squash soup; salad of smoked salmon and crayfish; parfait of chicken liver and Galia melon.
Main dish options are: roast borders turkey; sirloin of prime Scottish beef; wild mushroom, leek and asparagus lasagne and grilled fillet of halibut. Dessert options are: artisan Italian cheeses; traditional Christmas pudding; raspberry crème brulee and hot chocolate pudding.
