A LEADING Aberdeen training company has expanded its specialist team.
ITCA, which is one of the largest engineering apprenticeship training firms in Scotland, has appointed a new fabrication and welding instructor to it’s team based in the city’s York Street.
Colin Sherriffs has more than 29 years of welding experience, mainly in the oil and gas sector, and will oversee the learners to ensure they are trained to the high standard expected within client organisations.
Mr Sherriffs said: “I am excited to be working with ITCA as I have personal experience of working with ITCA apprentices in previous employment and they have all been to a superb standard.
“I am looking forward to passing on my experience and skills to younger minds to encourage them to achieve their maximum potential and develop a wide range of fabrication, pipefitting and welding skills.”
The training firm, which specialises in welding, fabrication and mechanical engineering, works with a range of companies across the North-east to provide apprenticeship training for young employees.
It also offers a range of corporate focussed courses including business and administration, logistics operations management and competence certification.
ITCA managing director, June Jones, said: “It’s great to welcome Colin to the ITCA team, he has a vast amount of knowledge in his field and we are all confident he will be a great asset to the business.”
