DUNDEE-based Caledonian Geotech (CG), a provider of near shore hyrdographic, geophysical and geotechnical services in the oil and gas, civil engineering and ports industries, has announced the appointment of a new general manager.
James Hailstones, takes up the role at the company, which is a subsidiary of Aberdeen-based Specialist Subsea Services (S³), bringing with him 27 years of experience in the survey industry.
James has previously worked in many areas of the industry from positioning, construction, geophysical/geotechnical and hydrography and was most recently operations manager for Fugro Pelagos in San Diego.
In his new role, James will be responsible for the successful and profitable operation of the company’s assets, which include two near shore survey vessels of 18m and a 9m in length, and the expansion of the company’s capabilities in the coastal zone.
