AS you probably know, the three valleys constitute one of the largest skiable areas in the world. Within the area lies Les Menuires, a resort which offers a variety of slopes covering every experience level.
A gateway for the prestigious skiing area which also comprises Méribel and Courchevel, this resort’s key asset is its appeal for families. There are a number of child-friendly zones including a giant snow castle where children can ski, throw snowballs and slalom to music!
For the 2012/2013 season, Les Menuires has introduced a new DVA Park to help off-piste amateurs train for search and rescue of avalanche victims.
For those looking for a souvenir, Les Menuires offers free footage of the skier’s escapades with cameras all over the slopes.
In addition to the wide range of restaurants in the area, there are 2 Mongolian Yurts in Belleville which offer a very different dining experience!

- 2-12 January 2013 – Winemakers Week with activities and tastings all week. Option of booking a package holiday which includes six days at the resort plus entry to the wine tasting evenings.
- 5 and 6 February 2013 – European Alpine Ski Cup
- 9-16 March 2013 – 6th edition of Boule de Notes: Children’s song and music festival
- 13-20 April 2013 – Michelin-starred chef René Meilleur shows children how to eat well
Les Menuires is in the Savoie region of the Rhone-Alps and is open from 12th August 2012 to 26th April 2013.
