A NORTH-east communications firm has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Small Consultancy award in the 2012 Scottish CIPR PRide Awards.
Frasermedia, which is based in Aberdeen, is down to the last two finalists shortlisted in the category, which recognises outstanding work carried out in the last three years.
More than 1,000 entries were received from freelancers, consultancies and in-house teams across 12 UK regions and nations for the overall awards.
The business, launched in 2007 by former broadcast journalist, Pauline Cook, has been selected as a finalist for its outstanding achievements, performance and excellent work in the last three year period.
Frasermedia currently has a team of three and manages a diverse range of PR clients across Scotland from small to medium size enterprises up to global oil and gas firms, offering a tailored, results-driven service.
Managing director, Pauline Cook MCIPR, said: “To be selected as a finalist by industry experts is a great honour and achievement for the team at Frasermedia.
“It’s a team effort to get the very best for our clients in terms of raising their profile on a local, national or international level.
“Focussing on delivering a very personal service has resulted in the business growing through client referral.
“I’m absolutely thrilled that we will be up there competing against the very best of Scotland’s PR industry experts.”
CIPR CEO, Jane Wilson MCIPR, commented: “The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and communications campaigns and teams from the profession across the UK.
“To be shortlisted for a CIPR PRide Award demonstrates exemplary achievement, impact and value – immediately putting your work in the spotlight.
“The sheer number of high quality entries received this year, especially when things are still pretty tough out there economically, is testament to a thriving nationwide industry.”
The judging process for the PRide Awards is rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the winners.
The 2012 chairs of judges, Gill Dandy FCIPR, senior consultant at The Centre for Strategy and Communication; and Chris Genasi FCIPR, senior consultant at APCO Worldwide, assisted in ensuring a fair and consistent judging process.
Gill Dandy commented: “I would like to congratulate all of the individuals and teams that have been shortlisted across the twelve regions and nations in the UK. The standard of entries continues to improve year on year which demonstrates an increasingly vibrant public relations profession.”
The winners of the 2012 Scottish CIPR PRide Awards will be announced at black tie dinner on 6th December in Edinburgh.
