YOU’LL need to be prepared to be brave if you venture into Waterstones at The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns in the first Saturday in August.
That’s because Saturday 4th August, at 11am and 2pm, is Brave Day at Waterstones, when the store will play host to a whole range of activities, from games, fancy dress, competitions, exclusive prizes, storytelling and more – all centred around Disney Pixar’s new 3D computer-animated fantasy adventure film Brave.
Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “Set in the Highlands of 10th Century Scotland, Brave is currently taking the world by storm – and I’m sure it’s going to have the same effect at Waterstones – so if you want to guarantee yourself a place at Brave Day, just book in at the stores till area or call 0141 616 3933 – but be quick and don’t be afraid. Be Brave!”
In Brave, a skilled archer named Merida defies an age-old custom, causing chaos in her kingdom. After consulting a witch for help, her family becomes cursed and Merida is forced to undo the spell herself before it is too late.
Brave’s voice cast features Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.
The Avenue Shopping Centre offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
