PANTON McLeod, experts in the UK water sector, has been celebrating after winning a framework contract with Dwr Cymru (Welsh Water).
The Scottish Borders based company which repairs, inspects and cleans structures used to store portable drinking water across the UK, secured a three-year contract with the water firm with the option for it to be extended by a further two years.
A range of services will be governed in the contract which covers traditional drain-down activities of inspection, cleaning and disinfection, as well as reactive and planned repairs and refurbishments.

To support the project, Panton McLeod has sourced a base in the traditional country town Monmouth, South East Wales.
Prior to the contract, Panton McLeod has been involved in project work with Welsh Water which included a range of underwater inspection and cleaning work at service reservoirs in Rogerstone Grange, Pengarnddu, Whitbourne, Blaenavon, Tynywaun and Builth Wells.
Iain added: “We’ve completed a number of projects for Dwr Cymru including the use of our innovative underwater robots to clean and inspect the water storage facilities. We’ll continue to offer our robotic services but this specific contract is for the cleaning and disinfection and repairs of reservoirs.
