THE speaker for Renfrewshire Chamber’s April Networking Lunch is Martin Stepek, CEO of the Scottish Family Business Association.
Martin’s father established the Stepek chain of electrical retailers and travel agencies.
The business was one of Lanarkshire’s best known employers, with 350 staff and 22 stores across West and Central Scotland.
However, differences over shareholding and dividend policy caused severe difficulties within the second generation of the family, and, during this difficult period the business went into administration.
Sharing the lessons his family learned has been a key driver in Martin’s commitment to the creation of the SFBA.
The lunch will take place at The Watermill in Paisley on the 26th April.
