HAVE you been into your local bakery in the last few weeks?
If you have, you will have noticed that the search in on for Scotland’s best and bakers up and down the country are doing everything they can to win your votes.
Thousands of votes have already been cast with customers letting us know who they think makes the best looking, freshest, tastiest and best value morning roll, scone, small cake, savoury and bread.
The runners-up in each category will be automatically considered for the ultimate accolade, Scottish Baker of the Year.
TV judge and artisan baker, Paul Hollywood, who is backing the competition, said: “I have visited a number of high street bakers in Scotland in the last week or two and I am really impressed at the standard of baking as well as the creativity and flair some of these bakers demonstrate daily.
“I would encourage every shopper in Scotland to go and sample the products your local baker is creating and recognise the skill and expertise of these businesses by voting.”
If you want to vote, simply log onto www.scottishbakers.org/scottishbakeroftheyear or pop into your local baker to pick up an entry form to enter your favourite baker and register your votes.
All voters will be entered into a free prize draw to win an i-Pad2, one for each category, there are five on offer!
