1901 Bar & Grill, a leading quality gastro pub in Glasgow’s southside, is inviting children to take their mum’s back to 1901 for lunch this Mother’s Day on Sunday 18th March.
Patrick Stapleton, manager, said: “1901 is always a popular destination on Mother’s Day, but we’re confident that, this year, Mother’s Day will be extra special at 1901.
“That’s because, not only will this be the first Mother’s Day hosted in our redecorated restaurant and delicious new menu, but our special Mother’s Day lunch will take place at the culmination of our first-ever St Patrick’s weekend festival for all the family.
“Furthermore, our Mother’s Day lunch will be followed by a session of live traditional Irish music from 3pm till 6pm, making 1901 the perfect place to take your mum this Mother’s Day!”
1901’s Mother’s Day menu features starters of: fresh soup of the day; chicken liver pate; deep fried brie wedges; prawn and avocado salad Marie rose and smoked haddock potato and spring onion.
Main course options are: roast of the day with all the trimmings; baked salmon steak; char-grilled supreme of chicken; Mediterranean roast vegetable and goats cheese parcel; pan fried medallions of pork; spicy meatballs in a rich Napoli sauce and dry aged 8oz Rib eye, with all dishes fully garnished with potatoes and vegetables.
The dessert selection, meanwhile, offers: sticky toffee pudding topped with ice cream and warm butterscotch sauce; Bramley apple pie with sauce anglaise and ice-cream; fresh fruit salad with orange sorbet; white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and vanilla ice cream with a choice of sauces.
1901’s Mother’s Day lunch is priced at £14.95 with a glass of wine. 1901 Bar & Grill is located at 1534 Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow’s southside.
