ABERDEEN’S only independently-owned private nursing home has announced the appointment of a new matron/manager.
Hawkhill House Nursing Home at Milltimber on the outskirts of Aberdeen has appointed Carol Mainland to the key role, following the recent departure to Houston, Texas of Kristin Jackson-Brown after five years.
Carol is a qualified Registered Nurse with a Diploma in Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Her extensive experience of caring for the elderly includes previous management roles at Maryfield West, Aberdeen with Southern Cross Healthcare and Alastrean House, Tarland with Balhousie Care Group.
Commenting on her move to Hawkhill House Nursing Home, Carol Mainland said: “I feel privileged to be the matron/manager of this first-rate facility which provides such excellent care and support for residents and families.”
Hawkhill House owner, Rona Tayler, added: “We are delighted that Carol has joined the team and we look forward to her playing a key role in the future of Hawkhill.”
