REARO, a leading provider of laminated and solid surface materials to both commercial and domestic markets, has appointed two highly respected English distributors, in a move designed to increase turnover by £1m, in 2012.
The ambitious Glasgow based company, which currently turns over £7.8m (an increase of 18 per cent on the previous year) has appointed Bolton-based Smiths Briten and Claygate of Kent, as distributors of their SELKIE range of shower panels.
Smiths Briten, part of the Grafton Group, employs a fleet of 30 vehicles covering the North of England and the Midlands, whilst Claygates, an independent firm based in Marden in Kent, has over 20 vehicles covering the south of England.
Graham Mercer, managing director of Rearo, comments: “The SELKIE range of shower panels currently accounts for a considerable proportion of our turnover, so the appointment of these firms is a significant move, as we come to increase our turnover potential through heightened visibility in the English marketplace.
“The enviable reputation enjoyed by both Smiths Briten and Claygate offers us the perfect fit, because we too are a business which largely trades on a reputation for quality and value.
“In addition, the combined geographical reach and client base of Smiths Briten and Claygate will allow us to target a huge number of bathroom showrooms, whose own customer bases mirror our own perfectly.”
SELKIE offers a wide range of shower panels which incorporates more traditional finishes as well as cutting-edge, contemporary panels, and is most popular with aspirational 20-40 year-olds, as well as the design conscious, 50+ market.
In addition to the current offering, Rearo already has plans in development to extend the SELKIE range further, in 2012.
