SPECIALIST Aberdeenshire oil service firm, ThinJack, is celebrating the end of a record quarter which has brought in deals worth £360,000 from UK and international orders.
Between October and December this year, the company – which started trading in 2007 – has recorded its busiest ever quarter thanks to completing its first ever contract in Malaysia and new contracts in the North Sea.
ThinJack is a bespoke service primarily used for the rigless separation of seized well flanges. The company – which also offers a specialist consultancy service – is based at Westhill, Aberdeenshire and headed by Guy Bromby and Alastair MacDonald.
In addition to the six staff based at Westhill, ThinJack employs trained field technicians in Australia, Saudi Arabia and the USA.
Commenting on the successful period, Alastair MacDonald said: “This excellent quarter has resulted not only from winning additional projects from both new and existing North Sea based customers, but also from our marketing efforts internationally building on our growing reputation and knowledge base.
“A number of our UK-based customers operating internationally also choose to take our ThinJack services with them, and this is maintaining ThinJack’s steady growth.”
Guy Bromby added: “There is no doubt that word about ThinJack is spreading and we are seeing a significant upturn both in current orders and serious enquiries for 2012.”
