THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns is calling for local choirs to join in its forthcoming glittering Christmas lights switch-on ceremony.
Taking place on the afternoon of Sunday 13th November, the ceremony at The Avenue will feature Karen Dunbar, who is set to star in Sleeping Beauty, this year’s big Christmas spectacular at the King’s Theatre.
Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “This year, our Christmas lights switch-on ceremony is all set to be bigger and better than ever before – but we’d really love to hear from local choirs to help us make it an extra-special occasion.
“So, if any choirs think they could add something special to mark this ceremony, we’d love them to get in touch – and the sooner the better as we’re in the process of finalising our plans and places are limited.”
Choirs interested in participating should contact Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, on 0141 639 5926.
The Avenue Shopping Centre offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
