LFH Engineering which specialises in the manufacturing of marine diesel engine coolant pumps has been presented with a prestigious business award.
Aberdeenshire-based LFH Engineering was announced as the winner of the 2011 Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) Northern Star Business Awards in the Overall Small Business Category on Thursday, October 06 at a glittering ceremony in Aberdeen.
The young company, which was established in April last year, has had an encouraging first 12 months in business which has seen the firm increase its workforce and surpass initial sales targets.
Managing director, Les Hill, said he was delighted the company had received the award and said the success was all thanks to LFH Engineering’s dedicated work force.
He said: “We are over-the-moon to have been awarded the Overall Small Business Award. The company and team here in Ellon has worked hard to establish the company over the past 12 months, far exceeding our expectations.
“Being nominated for the award was a fantastic achievement, however to win a Northern Star Award is a huge boost for the whole team and shows just want you can achieve with the right team in place.
“Our aim is to use the award win as the catalyst for the next stage in our business, continuing to improve the company, services and products.”
The annual Northern Star Business Awards was created to honour business achievements across the North-east and they culminate in a ceremony and dinner at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
LFH Engineering is based at Castlepark Industrial Estate, Ellon. Accredited as an approved member of the British Pump Manufacturing Association (BPMA) the company has an impressive client list including Rolls Royce, MAN Diesel and Caterpillar.
The company, which specialises in the manufacture of marine diesel engine coolant pumps, currently employs 32 staff.
