THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns is all set to strut its stuff on Saturday 10 September when it launches Mearns Community Week with an autumn/winter fashion show hosted by award-winning broadcaster, Gina McKie.
Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue, said: “With a dozen or more fashion retailers participating, many of which will be dishing out some fab fashion prizes, the event, which includes free makeover sessions and three fashion shows interspersed with a series of singing performances, looks all-set to be a great day out for all the family!”
The fashion show follows hot on the heels of the official launch party for Mearns Community Week at The Avenue at 10am that same morning when many community groups will be in attendance to showcase what they have planned for the week ahead.
The party will include face painting for kids and a chance to meet popular mall mascots Newton and Fearn.
The Avenue’s autumn/winter fashion show kicks-off at 11.30am and continues throughout the afternoon. Participating stores are: Asda; New Look; La Senza; Optical Express; Rogersons; Next; M&S; G Crawford; Little VIPs; abientot; CC (Country Casuals) and Viyella.
