DISTINCTIVE Developments, the studio behind the rugby smartphone game series, announces the release of the highly-anticipated Rugby Nations 2011.
Rugby Nations 2011 offers in-depth rugby simulation featuring motion-captured animations, new game modes, team management and more.
Says a spokesperson: “Featuring a whole new gameplay system designed to deliver an immersive gaming experience with more fully playable elements, the restructured defensive gameplay includes everything from standing tackles and mauls to competitive rucks. With playable lineouts, the way the game turns out is entirely up to the player; long passes, grubber kicks, penalties etc.
“The new team management feature allows the user to strategize the game with the improved player statistics and names guiding the user to make the right decisions for their team. Rugby Nations 2011 is also set to feature existing Rugby Nations fans as players within the game across the 20 teams.
“Rugby Nations game modes have introduced a new addition with the ‘Challenges’ mode to accompany Play Now, Tournament and Conversions modes. Challenge mode invites you to moonlight as a consulting captain and bring your expertise to other country teams by completing the nine challenges threatening the success of the teams, and with the Tournament mode adapted, the World Cup has been given a complete overhaul with group and knock-out stages added.
“The all new visual presentation creates an authentic and fresh new look throughout Rugby Nations 2011. Professional motion-captured animations and redesigned player models solidify the commitment to deliver console-quality presentation to the smaller screens.
“The cut scenes from Haka to victory celebrations lift the realism of the game to resemble the experience of live rugby broadcasts adding yet another dimension to the new era of rugby gaming.”

Ahead of the release of Rugby Nations 2011, Distinctive has also served a free treat for the fans of the Rugby Nations series titled Rugby Kicks. Rugby Kicks is a fun yet challenging game where you learn to master your kicks and progress from small local fields to the international stadiums. You are able to customize your player’s look from head to toe to match your status as you progress in your quest to make your mark in rugby history. Additionally you can serve challenges to your friends on Facebook and see if they have what it takes to match your skills. Practice may make you perfect but in this game, only the truly gifted will become legends.
