RENFREWSHIRE Chamber are delighted to announce their new member of staff, Renfrewshire Recruit winner, Euan Keltie.
Euan, 17, who lives in Erskine and was a pupil at Park Mains High School is a keen sportsmen competing in skiing and rugby.
Euan was one of the lucky Recruit winners, a school leavers summer programme based on the Apprentice TV programme and ran by Renfrewshire Council with support from local businesses.
This year, over 30 young people from across Renfrewshire competed in the programme.
Euan’s role as a management trainee will include responsibility for the Chambers website, iPhone app and eNews and involve helping run the many events the Chamber holds for its members.
His role will allow him to meet business men and women from across all sectors.
Commenting on his new job, Euan said: “Really looking forward to this year and excited at the prospect of what I will gain from my time here.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and I am eager to interact with different companies throughout the business community.
“I hope to expand my knowledge and understanding of business and networking, I am sure I will learn many things here that will benefit my future in positive ways.
“The Recruit was a brilliant endeavour for a young person like myself to be a part of, without it I would not be in the position I am today.”

Euan will be taking over from Finlay Allardice, who is coming to the end of his year with the Chamber.
Finlay won the job with the Chamber from The Recruit last year.
For the next year, Finlay has a new adventure to look forward to, travelling around Australia. In his time at the Chamber, Finlay has met hundreds of members and been introduced to some of Scotland’s top business people including Sir Tom Farmer and Jim McColl OBE.
During his year, Finlay was the first Recruit winner to successfully complete his Modern Apprenticeship and said: “I’m grateful that I was given this opportunity with the Chamber, and it has definitely benefited me more than I ever thought it would when I started.
“Working at countless events has helped me with my networking skills and to build up a contact base for the future.
“I have improved upon many of my existing skills and have successfully completed a Level 3 SVQ in Business & Administration.”
Chamber chief executive, Bob Davidson, commented: “On behalf of the Chamber team and board, I wish to thank Finlay for his contribution over the last year.
“He has been a great asset to the chamber and it has been a pleasure working with him and see him grow.
“With Euan we wish him all the best in his new role and encourage him to make the most out of his year.
“It will fly in and offers great opportunities for a keen young entrepreneur.
“He has joined at an ideal time, Renfrewshire Chamber now have over 500 members and we are preparing for our main event of the year, the ROCCOs, our annual business awards, Renfrewshire’s premier business event.”
