THE original Paperino’s, one of Glasgow’s most popular Italian restaurants, is launching a Sunday Roast menu on Sunday 21st August.
The new, three-course menu is available for only £12.95, with a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink if ‘Sunday Roast’ is quoted at the time of booking.
Mark Billington, managing director of Paperino’s, said: “Our delicious new Sunday Roast menu has been created in response to customer demand.
“Whilst our pasta and pizza dishes continue to be popular choices for lunches and evening meals, we’ve noticed a distinct rise in demand for a traditional Sunday Roast from diners at our Sauchiehall Street restaurant, which we’re only too happy to cater for.”
The new Sunday Roast menu features starters of baked mushroom and tarragon pate served with toast and smoked salmon, served with brown bread. Main course options offer a choice between traditional roast loin of pork, lamb or beef (alternating weekly) or nut roast, both served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and gravy.
Desserts on offer are home-made apple crumble or fresh fruit salad, both served with ice-cream.
In addition to its new Sunday Roast menu, Paperino’s offers an extensive variety of pasta, pizza and meat and fish dishes.
Paperino’s opened at 283 Sauchiehall Street in 1991 and soon became renowned for its traditional Italian cuisine.
The original Paperino’s is now widely acknowledged as a firm favourite with Glasgow’s Italian community.
It has since been joined by sister Paperino’s outlets at Byres Road and at 78 Vincent Street.
