BORDERS-based distance training company, Learning Curve, is celebrating this week, as former interior design student, Paula Jowett, who is based in South Wales, launches her own business, Manhattan Interiors.
Paula completed her Diploma in Interior Design with Distinction just a few weeks ago. But, not one to rest on her laurels, she has already launched an exciting new interior design business offering a range of high-quality interior design services to clients in the South Wales area.
In addition, Paula offers an online mood board service available to clients from around the world.
One of the first services of its kind, Paula’s online design service offers clients the opportunity to purchase an individually designed ‘interior design pack’, including a full colour mood board, style guide, and advice on paint colours, wallpaper and furnishings, as well as guidance on how to bring everything together.
Paula’s tutor, Ana Campbell-Reid, notes: “I’ve been impressed with the quality of Paula’s work throughout the interior design course.
“It has always been of an excellent quality.
“Paula has a natural design ability and a real eye for detail, as well as a strong commitment to her clients.
“I’m sure these traits will serve her well in her new business, and the whole Learning Curve team wish her every success.”
Paula is the latest in a series of Learning Curve students who have launched their own successful businesses in interior or garden design, life coaching or horticulture.
Director of Studies, Linda Pollitt, notes: “Changing career direction can be rewarding but it’s also daunting, especially if you are trying to juggle study with many other commitments.
“All of our tutors have a lot of experience of supporting students who are planning to launch new businesses or pursue a new career in their chosen area.
“Paula’s success is a good example of just what can be achieved by hard work and commitment.”
Learning Curve is a leading provider of home study courses, and works with students around the world to help them achieve their career and study goals.
