SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors has arranged the sale of Grangemouth-based kitchen and bathroom specialist, JW Bennie & Son, to Alloa Athletic owner, Mulraney Group, in an off-market deal for an undisclosed sum.
Sandy Falconer, head of Shepherd’s commercial department in Stirling and Falkirk, said: “The successful conclusion of this sale demonstrates our ability to facilitate a range of business transactions, such as acquisitions and disposals, regardless of whether there is an obvious property element to the deal.
“The fact that this deal was concluded off-market illustrates the strength and depth of our presence and our extensive network of business contacts throughout the Central Belt.”
Shepherd acted on behalf of Lex Miller, the former owner of JW Bennie, who has been retained as sales director of the group.
A family company established 50 years ago, the acquired company will continue to trade as JW Bennie and sit within the Mulraney Group’s burgeoning portfolio of companies whose interests span a variety of sectors, including: commercial property; warehousing; storage and distribution; engineering; electric motors; electrical and control components and leisure and hospitality.
