SCOTTISH women’s football champions, Glasgow City LFC, will put the Ladies into Ladies’ Night when they attend the Hamilton Park fixture of that name this Saturday evening.
The five-time SWF Premier League champions will be special guests at the Lanarkshire Racecourse’s glitz and glamour summer meeting with the full, first team squad and coaching staff in attendance.
It will be a timely team bonding exercise for the squad as they prepare to travel to Europe early next month and represent Scotland in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Glasgow City LFC general manager, Laura Montgomery, said: “It is a real honour for our first team to be asked by Hamilton Park Racecourse to attend on Saturday. The team are training hard for Europe and the restart of the League after the summer break, so it will be great for the girls to be able to gather socially for a change as opposed to on the training field.
“An evening at the races is always a fantastic day out and with it being Ladies Night, the players won’t need any excuse to dress up. Knowing how competitive they all are to win at all times, it will be interesting to see who is best dressed.”
Hamilton Park’s Ladies’ Night, sponsored by Fake Bake, features a best-dressed competition and fashion show, on-site shopping marquee and live music from Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs after racing, with six races on the card earlier in the evening.
Hamilton Park chief executive, Vivien Kyles, said: “Who better to help us celebrate Ladies’ Night than Scotland’s women’s football champions, Glasgow City?
“They clearly have the winning touch so hopefully that will be the case when they place their bets on Saturday night – and when they compete in Europe. Everyone at Hamilton Park wishes them all the very best as Scotland’s representatives.”
Fake Bake Ladies’ Night at Hamilton Park Racecourse takes place on Saturday 30 July with gates opening at 4.40pm and the first race at 6.40pm.
Tickets are priced from just £13 and can be booked in advance at www.hamilton-park.co.uk or by calling the racecourse on 01698 283 806.
