DIG out your shorts and sandals – whatever the weather – and get yourself down to 1901 Bar & Grill, the quality gastro pub in Glasgow’s southside, for a charity BBQ fundraiser in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust on Sunday 7th August from 3-7pm.
Featuring live music performances from both The Dixie Beaver Band and Acoustic Butterfly, the delicious BBQ buffet will be followed by a grand raffle with loads of fab prizes up for grabs, with party packs and face-painting for kids – and summer attire is actively encouraged.
1901 manager, Patrick Stapleton, said: “Amongst our amazing raffle prizes to be won are a mountain bike, signed Celtic and Rangers shirts, a sponsored painting from a local artist and tickets to events at the SECC, donated by Coca Cola – so put on your biggest sun hat, don your loudest Hawaiian shirt and get back to 1901!”
Tickets to the 1901 charity BBQ cost £8 per person – £3 of which goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust – entitling partygoers to a BBQ buffet and a free bottle of Corona. Tickets for the raffle cost £1 with all proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Recently awarded a prestigious Cask Marque, an accolade recognising the quality and care of cask or ‘real’ ales, last year 1901 won the best individual bar/pub award in the Best Employers in Hospitality.
1901 Bar & Grill is located at 1534 Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow’s southside.
