FISH Out of Water, a leading bespoke tour company, has joined up with one-stop African travel site, Safari Gateway, to launch a new Scottish safari experience.
The idea for the venture, which aims to foster closer tourism links between Scotland and Africa, was borne out of the realisation that Scotland’s mountainous sporting estates and forests can offer holidaymakers an enticing, unique safari experience.
Ann Medlock, founder of Fish Out of Water, said: “Whilst traditionally associated with Eastern Africa, a safari is essentially an expedition for hunting and exploration. As such, Scotland can offer everything from grouse and other game shooting to deer stalking and riding out with the local hunt and much more.
“Our hope is that, through this link with Safari Gateway, we can help attract tourists from Africa and vice versa.
“As with any other specialist holiday sector, safari-goers are always hunting for fresh alternatives and we believe that the introduction of a Scottish safari experience will appeal to seasoned safari-goers and newcomers alike.”
Established to showcase the best of Scotland, www.fishoutofwater.net arranges exclusive itineraries for corporate and leisure visitors.
The objective of Fish Out of Water is to ensure that visitors to Scotland do not feel like one.
Safari Gateway connects tour operators and accommodation owners with travellers worldwide.
The site promotes African hotels, accommodation, safaris and tours.
