RENFREWSHIREChamber today received another award, its second this year, by achieving the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Chamber Excellence Model.
The BCC head of accreditation, Nigel Rudd, flew up from the Westminster HQ of BCC to present the local chamber with this significant achievement at its June networking lunch at the Glynhill in front of an audience of 50 members.
After presenting the accreditation certificate to Chamber company secretary, David Flint (partner with MacRoberts Solicitors, right in pic), Nigel commented: “How the Chamber has greatly improved over the last couple of years.
“Although smaller in comparison to some bigger Chambers, its ambition and services to its members – combined with the new team led by chief executive, Bob Davidson, and board led by president, Tom Johnston – set an excellent example, it really punches above its weight.:
Renfrewshire Chamber now has over 500 members having grown by 33 per cent in the last two years alone.
The Chamber is a business member organisation with members of all sizes and sectors.
Its networking events (100 in 2010) provide excellent opportunities to engage with local business and increase their profile.
The products and services offered, many of which are free or included in their membership, help businesses reduce their costs and increase their profits.
Bob continues: “We are here to help Renfrewshire grow and prosper and the many members that engage with the Chamber, attend our events and use our marketing channels, connections, products and services, get benefit that far outweighs the cost of membership that starts at only 35p a day.”
The Chamber will shortly be launching their annual business awards, ‘The ROCCOs’, which last year attracted 470 guests, presented 11 awards and raised £15,000 for local charities.
